Projects and funds

Zielona Góra Forest Authority conducted two tasks cofinanced from external funds in 2013:

  1. Management of the area around the seat of the Zielona Góra Forest Authority for education in nature and forestry, with a grant of PLN 79,686.00 from the funds of the Regional Environment Protection and Water Management Fund in Zielona Góra, being part of Priority VIII – ecological education
A roofing for the purposes of education and recreation was built as part of the development of natural and forest education resources close to the seat of the Zielona Góra Forest Authority. Thanks to the interactive equipment installed, it allows a significant quality improvement and increases the attractiveness of conducted activities aimed at development of proper pro-ecological attitudes in children and young people participating in the workshops. The subject and form of the workshops are the Forest Authority's answer to the needs of teachers. The roofing and the educational resources are an integral part of the extant natural forest trail "Do Wieży". Allowing small groups to learn in the open, it expands the possibility of conducting various forms of education, i.e. Ty improving the efficiency of the conducted activities, which annually attract the participation of 800 – 1200 people annually. Thanks to active and interactive forms of teaching through amusement and observation, participants of the workshops gain nature observing skills, learn the standards of appropriate behaviour in the forest, and reinforce the habits of proper interaction with nature.

  2. Reconstruction of fire roads, Nos 9 and 10 and construction of a junction to county road in Przylep and Zagórze forest division, cofinanced from EU funds as part of Measure 226: Restoration of forestry production potential destroyed by natural disasters and introduction of preventive measures, aimed at the reconstruction of fire access routes
The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development: Europe investing in rural areas – Rural Areas Development Programme for 2007–2013; a grant of PLN 2,004,653.00.
