ECOLOGICAL SITES

Ecological sites are the Romains of ecosystems that deserve protection and are of great importance for maintenance of biological diversity, f. ex. mid-forest water ponds, swamps, mosses and sites of rare plant, animal and mushroom species.

Withinthe area of Zielona Góra Forest District five ecological lands of 150.92 ha in total, including areas of Odra River channel, are located (three out of the listed below):

- Inter-embankment zone I - 79.55 ha

- Inter-embankment zone II - 68.89 ha

- Lilies of the valley - 0.90 ha

- Cornus area - 0.66 ha

- Dober - 0.92 ha
