Within Zielona Góra Forest District coniferous forest pine settlements dominate and the average age is 57 years.

Major types of tree settlements of the area are:

  • pine
  • mixed
  • acidophilic oak woods (central European type: "sour oak wood") - mainly constituted by sessile oak
  • broadleaved forest
  • Luzulo-Fagetum beech forests
  • riparian forests

 

Percentage share of particular forest settlements:

  • 89.1% - coniferous forest (tree stands dominated by coniferous species, mainly pine and spruce)
  • 10.9% - forest (tree stands dominated by broadleaf)

 

Percentage share of pro-forest species:

  • 88.94% - pine
  • 4.46% - oak
  • 2.22% - alder
  • 1.43% - locust
  • 1.2% - birch
  • below 1% - other
